by oblique cuts to allow them a rotation towards the
outside and make the lowering by crane easier.
In the same way the pile no. 4 (end of May), the pile
no. 7 (first half of June), the pile no. 6 (first week of
July), the pile no. 3 (end of July) and the pile no. 8
(early days of August), were dismantled and the
sections taken away by Fagioli SPMTs (pictures 14a,
b, c).
After the demolitions of these piles, the Berger beam Picture 11
no. 11 (weighing 750 ton each) was cut and lowered
with the strand jacking system be the end of May
(pictures 15, 16, 17).
The demolition of V shape piles no. 10 and no. 11 pile
was executed with an operation of controlled
explosion by the end of June, out of Fagioli scope of
work (picture 18).
Pile no. 8, being 4 meters longer than all the others,
required some additional cuts. Pile no. 2, the last one
left, was demolished at the same time as the pile 8.
The demolition of the bridge ended on the 12th of

August 2019 (Fagioli scope of work ended on the 31
